Let’s talk FOOD !!!
Happy Daisy offers a freeze dried food that helps make life easier for pet parents. The freeze drying process removes all the moisture from the food, which is what gives it an extra long shelf life up to 25 years (unopened). This method also helps preserve the integrity of the food in every way. This is why our food maintains the original colours, shapes and flavours. It is also why you can see every single ingredient and recognize what it is whether our food is dry or rehydrated. Freeze drying most importantly allows our food retain 97% of the original nutrients.Allowing you to reap all the benefits without making any compromises. Another major benefit is that our food requires no extensive storage. You do not need to make room in your fridge or freezer, just your pantry. (Unless you rehydrate the food, then it will need appropriate refrigeration as it becomes fresh food once again). Not needing any special storage is why our food travels so well and can be used while camping, hiking, on vacation and it is a great long term food storage option.
You can choose to feed our food dry or you can add moisture and in turn make the flavour possibilities endless. You can use water, fresh coconut water, bone broth, raw goats milk, Kiefer or any combination of the above.
Whether you’re feeding our food exclusively, using it in those emergency situations (camping, travel, laziness, lack of time, long term food storage in case of emergency etc) or using it as a food topper to nutritionally enhance your own food or to help entice those picky eaters. You can feel good knowing our food is a choice for your beloved pets that’s as delicious as it is nutritious!
- Can be added to regular food to enhance meals
- Delicious as a snack
- Perfect for travel or camping
Feeding Instructions: Scoop, Pour & Serve.
Scoop: Measure how much of the food you want to serve / how much is appropriate for your pets size. Are you feeding our food exclusively? Is it a food topper? Is it an emergency meal? This is for you to determine.
Pour: If you choose to rehydrate the food and add moisture back in to the meal you can determine how much liquid to add. (A little liquid will rehydrate the food, but you can use as much as you like to achieve the desired consistency .. lots of liquid will turn the food into a “soup” consistency which is good for dogs or cats who do not consume enough water on their own).
Serve: let the food absorb the water. You will see that the vibrant fresh produce comes back to life & that the meat becomes tender & juicy. All the original flavours and smells also come back to life.
